Tayla is a dedicated practitioner with almost a decade of experience supporting children, adolescents and adults with disability, mental health challenges and behaviours of concern. Throughout her career, she has worked across disability support, crisis intervention, support coordination and leadership roles, collaborating closely with families and multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive outcomes.
Beginning her career in early childhood education before moving into the disability sector, Tayla has developed a strong foundation in person-centred practice and Positive Behaviour Support. As a Disability Support Worker and later Team Leader of a high-risk day program, she oversaw the implementation of behaviour support strategies, responded to complex behavioural presentations, managed risk, and worked alongside staff, families and allied health professionals to meet participants' individual needs.
Her experience also includes working as a Crisis Support Worker, supporting children and families to manage behaviours of concern within the home, as well as roles in Support Coordination and independent disability support, where she has continued to implement individualised supports and collaborate with participants' broader support networks.
Known for her warm, calm and approachable nature, Tayla is passionate about delivering strengths-based Positive Behaviour Support that empowers participants, families and support teams to build skills, increase independence and improve quality of life.
